Discover your perfect and best waterproof mattress covers for bed bugs for your bedroom in this post.
If you have never had a bed bug infestation then you may not realize the importance of protecting yourself against them. There is a common misconception that only a dirty house will have bedbugs but the truth is they can piggyback on luggage, clothes, and furniture, so your clean bed can be easily infested.
Bedbugs are tiny blood suckers, and they prefer to feast on you when you’re sleeping, hence their name. The best way to prevent bedbugs from making your bed their home is to get the best waterproof mattress covers for bed bugs for all the beds in your home that you can find. Most of these mattress covers also work to minimize allergies to cotton and dust mites. Waterproofing makes these covers ideal for people with small children and pets that may have an “accident” on the bed, protecting the mattress and making cleanup easy.
LinenSpa® Encasement Mattress Protector
This is one of the few king size mattress covers for bed bugs listed on Amazon that might do the trick. Aside from some damage and fitting issues for thicker (more than 17”) mattresses, this appears to be right on the head for keeping the creepy crawlies away from you as you sleep. The linen material is breathable, and full enclosure of the mattress makes it more likely to be bedbug-proof. It is also more durable than most products in this category and price range. We recommend this product for a must try.

Queen Size Luna Premium Hypoallergenic
The hypoallergenic here means that this is primarily an allergy mattress. Do allergy mattress covers work for bed bugs? This one does because it is also 100% waterproof, which means bugs can get through to feed and they eventually die. This particular product uses a cotton material bonded with a waterproof membrane, allowing air to flow while keeping dust and bugs away from you. It also fits even deep mattresses perfectly. However, this is not consistently waterproof. This is a big drawback if you expect it to protect your mattress from liquids. People who ask do mattress covers for bed bugs work may think not with this particular product. We do not recommend this for waterproofing or bed bugs.

SafeRest Premium Mattress Encasement
Do mattress covers really work for bed bugs? If anything will, this one should. Large enough to completely encase 12-inch thick queen-sized mattresses, it has what the manufacturer calls Micro- Zipper technology. It is supposed to prevent bed bugs in all stages of its development from getting their teeth on your skin. The biggest problem with this product appears to be quality control. Some zippers easily break, and some arrive with holes in the fabric. It is also not breathable so it makes sleep uncomfortably hot. Overall, it appears that the cover keeps the bedbugs out in general, but not completely. We do not recommend this product.

Sleep Tite Waterproof Mattress Protector
This is a fitted sheet type of cover, so it is mostly designed for leaks and dust. It works very well in keeping most fluids out if you remove the cover immediately after a dousing. If you have only a slight problem with bedbugs then this product should be enough to keep them away. As a waterproof mattress cover for bed bugs, however, this may not be the best product for you. Another drawback is that it can get hot, so it is not recommended for people who have the night sweats.

Sleep Safe Mattress Zipcover
This is highly recommended for people with allergies because it effectively keeps out dust mites yet feels comfortable and cool under the bed linen. However, the integrity of the protection may be compromised for thicker mattresses so it should not be used for mattresses more than 12 inches thick. Protection from bed bugs is presumed as it is an effective bar against smaller allergens. However, it is not waterproof. We recommend this product for general protection against allergens and bed bugs.
